Local car repair specialists, CARS of Grimsby, commissioned us here at Torr to air condition their open plan customer reception area.

Their problem was, like in many light & airy business reception areas with large windows, the CARS staff were suffering with the summer heat making the reception like a green house.
Owner & MD Jason Barker knew who to call to solve the problem. Both CARS of Grimsby & Torr Engineering are members of the Cleethorpes BNI Business Networking Group, and Jason was already familiar with the quality of equipment & installations that Torr are known for.

The system of choice for CARS was a MHI 5.0kW premium wall mounted system. These super efficient systems provide an output of 5kW of cooling for an input of 1.24kW, and an even more impressive 6kW of heating for an input of just 1.36kW! Amazing energy efficiencies that only air source heat pumps are capable of.
Although it couldn’t bee seen, care was taken to ensure the cable and pipe work containment was both strong and neat. The outdoor condensing unit was wall mounted with zinc galvanised cantilever arms for additional strength and salt air corrosion resistance.
The indoor unit was sited to maximise the air flow around the customer reception area and 2 adjacent open plan offices.
This installation included the Mitsubishi airconwithme Wi-Fi connection module, allowing the system to be fully controlled with a smartphone app from anywhere in the world with a Wi-Fi signal.
