Yorkshire Water – Bradford

Air conditioning installation by Torr Engineering at Yorkshire Water's Rocc building Bradford
Torr Engineering were commissioned by Honeywell to replace an ageing Airedale Air Handling Unit (AHU) air conditioning system with the latest state of the art Mitsubishi Split systems at the Yorkshire Water live operations centre – Rocc building in Bradford.

The contract involved installing 1.5km of pipework to 11 ceiling mounted cassette systems, fed by 7 outdoor condensing units, split in to 6 separate zones. This provided controllable comfort cooling and heating to the open plan office area.

The Rocc building houses Yorkshire Water’s emergency and contingency planning operations. The offices are fully staffed during the day so the installation was completed throughout nights while the office was lightly staffed.

On Honeywell’s behalf, Torr completed the installation within budget – 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
